Over the years, I have engaged in community service and criminal justice advocacy. I've shaped local conversations around alternatives to incarceration for non-violent offenders, and the county's need for a new prison. I believe that with compassion, the justice system can ensure safety and dignity for all.
I obtained a degree in Criminal Justice from Lycoming College with the aim of improving the lives around me. As a lifelong resident of Strasburg Township and graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg, I approach this role with reason and common sense. I am your neighbor; I now the ins and outs of our community.
This November, think about the benefits of infusing vitality and a stronger sense of upward mobility in our community for everyone. We deserve a judge who is not only compassionate, but a neighbor who knows what's at stake. Vote for fairness, trust, and reliability.

"I decided to run for School Director because I don’t believe public school should be undermined by any vocal minority. I support broad access to developmentally appropriate materials, competitive curricula, and multifaceted support of individual student needs. I support parents’ rights while also upholding the values of public education for all."

"I have always believed that a strong public school system is our country's, and therefore our community's, greatest strength. Our school board needs to turn the focus back to doing the best we can to provide education, opportunities, and needed resources for our next generations, and not cater to radical special interest influences that limit our teachers and students' exposure to the wonderful diversity that is our shared humanity. Public schools must prepare students to participate in a global society."

Leads adult education classes for Willow Valley residents
Current West Chester University Board member serving disadvantaged students
"I believe that all our students deserve a quality education that enables them to achieve their full potential. We need to support our teachers and staff as they work to foster student learning, creativity, critical thinking, and good mental health. These are foundational steps toward our students becoming good citizens and cornerstones of our future communities. The board needs to stay focused on the education of the students and not get distracted by the conflicts of the day."

"Our L-S students will be successful with a top-quality education IF we provide a well-rounded, challenging curriculum meeting the needs of every single student. Our L-S schools are for training and nurturing all students to be the best that they can be... excelling in content areas, in the arts, in physical education and learning how to work with others in a positive teamwork model. Our society cannot throw away the talents of even one child.
A school board member should support teachers and administrators so that they can meet the students where they are and move them forward towards excellence. Funding is certainly important and requests for money should be carefully justified. Book bans are not acceptable. Individual parents can request that their own child or children not read specific books. Discrimination against students based on income, religion, race, sex or sexual orientation should not be tolerated."

"As a former teacher and librarian, I have developed a deep passion about education. Both of my daughters attended L-S schools and I aim to maintain district integrity. Working with and listening to the other school board members and staff will ensure that sound decisions are being made. There is no place on a school board that enables people to exclude certain books or beliefs. Schools should be a place where all feel welcomed, safe, and ready to learn without fear of being threatened, bullied, or afraid. Running for school board allows me the opportunity to influence the decisions for the students of our schools."
